March 18
Lady Falcons Overwhelm Cary Imps, 18-3

Once again, the whole team contributed to the win. Rookies Alicia Smith and Claire Kilmer scored their first points. Goalie Katie Worsdale was released from her cage and also scored.

The Lady Falcons were on fire right from the start. A forced turnover by goalie Katie Worsdale resulted in a point at the crease by Meghan Hawthorne, assisted by Deirdre O'Connor. Hawthorne then played it forward with an assist to Allie Klavik. Taylor Morrison ran the next point in, and then shared the next point with O'Connor. The two teams fought to keep possession for the next five minutes before Kendall Hidalgo put the next one in. On an assist from Rachel Chapla, Briana Lowell scored the next point. Dana Josephson made good on a penalty shot to increase the shut-out lead to 7-0. The next point was made by Casey Reiser right from the draw. Colleen Brophy connected to rookie Alicia Smith for the next goal. The Cary Imps finally broke their scoring drought with a goal. After keeping each other scoreless for the next five minutes, the score stood at 9-1, and that was just the first half.

Less than a minute into the second half, Allie Klavik scored unassisted, followed almost immediately by O'Connor with another point. Josephson, assisted by Lowell, scored the next point. The fans in the stand cheered when goalie Cheryl Schlitter stuffed a shot and Reiser drew a charge. Hidalgo finally made the next score on a penalty shot. Nicole Nisbet slammed the next point in, then for an encore, scored on a fast break. Not to be outdone, rookie Claire Kilmer repeated the act with a fast break goal from the draw. Goalie-turned-fielder Worsdale put her own point on the board, and Erin Noonan made the last Falcon point of the game with just 30 seconds left on the clock. But the Imps weren't finished yet! With just 8 seconds left, they broke the Falcon defense and had the last word of the game.
