April 16
Lady Falcons Clip the Wings of Enloe Eagles, 12-8

The Lady Falcons were flying high when they defeated the Enloe Eagles 12-8. Dana Josephson scored the first and last point of the game, and 5 other Lady Falcons scored in between.

The Falcons know how to start a game with a bang. Casey Reiser made an interception. Meghan Hawthorne clawed her way out of a crowd to come up with the ball in a tussle and passed it on to Dana Josephson, who scored the first point in the first minute and a half. Just 40 seconds later, Rachel Chapla ran in the next point. The Eagles responded quickly with the next goal. Before the next point could be made, Hawthorne forced a turnover, and Katie "The Right Stuff" Worsdale made 7 incredible saves. Worsdale's last clear to Reiser was passed on to Chapla, who bounced the point in. Allie Klavik slammed the next one in at the crease. Despite another stuff and save on penalty by Worsdale, the Eagles pulled off 3 points to tie the game, 4-4. Hawthorne, assisted by Josephson, scored the next point at the crease. After 2 more Worsdale saves, a ground ball win by Claire Kilmore, and a forced turnover by Klavik, Chapla slammed the next point in on a stutter step. The Eagles quickly scored on a fast break, and with just 25 seconds left, O'Connor scored the last point of the half on a penalty shot.

Colleen "The Intimidator" Brophy stepped up on defense, blocking attackers and forcing a turnover. Worsdale made an exciting interception, and Chapla forced a turnover, but Klavik was the one who scored next with a corner shot. Worsdale made the next save in dramatic style, rolling into the cage. Hawthorne followed up by flying around the cage for the next shot. After another Eagle goal, Chapla scored next with a quick twist of her stick. Then she scored again on her own rebound. The Eagles were allowed two more points before O'Connor next hit the net, but the point was declared "no good." Josephson capped the game with a low shot to the net for the last point of the game.
