Lady Falcons Play Spoiler Again to Upset Hoggard Vikings, 12-7

After a close first half, the Lady Falcons temporarily lost the lead at the start of the second half, but came back with a vengeance, scoring 7 straight points while shutting out the Vikings. For the sixth straight year, the Lady Falcons have advanced to the Final Four. Full story & Photos

Lady Falcons Spoil Playoffs for Western Guilford in Major Upset, 8-5

Deja vu! It seems like only two days ago the Lady Falcons were taking on the Hornets at Western Guilford. Oh wait, it was. And a score of 8-5? That sounds familiar! Oh wait, that was the same score when the two teams matched up last season! In a major upset victory, the 12th seeded Falcons beat the 5th seeded Hornets in the NCHSWLA State Tournament. Mother Nature Thwarts Falcon Comeback Against Western Guilford

Taking the sting out of the Western Guilford Hornets, the Lady Falcons came back from a large deficit and were poised to take over the lead when thunder struck and ended the game. The Falcons showed they had wheels and the excited fans kept getting up on their feet in this very close and heart-pounding game. Lady Falcons Spoil Senior Night for Panther Creek Catamounts, 20-10

The Lady Catamounts gave the Lady Falcons a run for their money, reducing a 9 point deficit down to 3 points at one time. Seniors Katie Worsdale, Cheryl Schlitter and Kelsey Noonan were reunited with former teammate (and Catamount starter) Emily Tatton, who were all part of the 2006 State Champion Lady Falcon team. Lady Falcons Beat New Holly Springs Team on Senior Night, 18-6

The Lady Falcons beat the Lady Hawks, who played with great heart, in an evening of firsts -- first goals ever for Emily Ross and Katie McCabe, first point of the season for defender Colleen Brophy, first season for the Lady Hawks, and the first time a goalie in the cage got credit for a point. The Lady Falcons soundly defeated the Middle Creek Mustangs on Falcon turf. The Mustangs are coached by former Lady Falcon Ashley Ruppert (former teammate of Coach Sibley). The game brought Green Hope lacrosse founder Carol Scarola and husband Jim to the stands. Full story & Photos

After the disappointing first half shut-out, the Lady Falcons came to life to outscore the Lady Cougars in the second half. In the end, the Lady Falcons failed to spoil Senior Night for the Lady Cougars on their slippery field, where Falcon players slid to the ground as often as Apex players scored. Full story
