Green Hope Honors Senior Lady Falcons

  • May 5, 2008 2008 Seniors The Lady Falcons honored their 12 seniors at the first round of the State Tournament play-offs. Each senior was introduced with her parents. Falcons End Season And Enter State Tournament Sweet Sixteen

  • May 1, 2008 State Tournament seeding was announced today, and Green Hope enters the play-offs ranked #5. The Lady Falcons ended their 2008 regular season with an overall record of 11 wins and 5 losses. Their season end showing in the East Conference is 7 wins and 3 losses.

Broughton Game Rescheduled And Durham Academy Game Cancelled

  • April 28, 2008 The away game scheduled against Broughton tomorrow, Tuesday April 29, has been pushed back one hour to 7:00PM. The home game scheduled Wednesday against Durham Academy has been cancelled, so that they may reschedule an in-conference game against Chapel Hill.

Lady Falcons Play Annual Black and White Game

  • March 29, 2008 Nicole, Elba, Danielle and Taylor Fans braved freezing temperatures to watch the Lady Falcons play each other in their annual Black and White game (although green and white pinneys were used...). Flying geese seemed confused by the weather as they circled overhead, appearing to be lost. Hector the Rejector, however, seem unphased by the cold and warded off several shots on goal. Halle Ryan Piper Arrives!

  • March 2, 2008 Former head coach Heather Piper and her husband, Jeff, are pleased to announce the birth of their daughter, Halle Ryan Piper. Little Halle was born at 10:50 am on Saturday, March 1, at Western Wake Hospital. Halle was born 6 pounds 13 ounces, at 20 inches. Everyone is doing fine! Eight New Lady Falcons Added To The Roster

  • February 14, 2008 The 21 returning team manager and players welcome freshmen Kelly Bristow, Rachel Chapla, Hagen Donahue, Shannon Leonard and Priscilla Lin; sophomores Allie Klavik and Nicole Nisbet; and freshman team manager Taylor Morrison.

Lady Falcons Welcome New Head Coach

  • February 11, 2008 Green Hope welcomes Chrissy Sibley as the new Head Coach. Sibley was a leading scorer on the Green Hope team in 2004 and 2005, and returned as Assistant Coach last season. She was the obvious choice to succeed Heather Piper, who after leading the Lady Falcons through its first four wildly successful seasons, retired to start a family this year.

Conferences Realigned

  • February 11, 2008 For the first time ever, lacrosse is now an officially sanctioned sport in the Wake County school district. Green Hope also returns to the NCHSWLA East Conference, which has been realigned to include Tri-8 and Cap-7 conference schools.
