Green Hope Falcons Lose to Apex Cougars, 3-20

In disheartening loss, the Lady Falcons fought hard against an aggressive Apex Cougar team.

The Apex Cougars scratched and clawed their way to victory, but there were still some highlights to savor.

Deirdre O'Connor broke through the Cougar wall twice to put two points on the board. One was on a connection from Brittany Ruppert, and the other from Logan Kaznowski. Ruppert, on a rebound from a shot attempt by O'Connor, made the only other score of the game. Katie Worsdale made several impressive saves. Ali Brown, Christina Demetros, Logan Kaznowski, Casey Reiser, Mandy Blackburn and Jenna Lang fought hard on defense. The fans in the stands and the substitutes on the sideline cheered their hearts out, but it was not enough to change the outcome of the game.
