Lady Falcons State Championship Hopes Dashed By Apex Cougars, 5-13
The Lady Falcons fought hard against the Apex Cougars, but came up short in the semi-finals of the State Tournament. The tightly contested first half ended with Green Hope trailing by only 1 goal, 2-3. The Lady Falcons played a great defensive game and handed the Cougars their lowest score of any in-state game. Falcons Soar to Final Four With an Upset Over Myers Park Mustangs, 18-12
The Lady Falcons never looked better, and the fans never cheered harder. The exciting 2nd round play-off game that pitted the #5 ranked Lady Falcons against the #4 ranked Myers Park Mustangs three hours from home proved to be a tough battle. Falcons Foil Playoff Dreams of the Tenacious Wakefield Wolverines, 17-12
Under dark ominous clouds, the Wolverines of Wakefield met the Lady Falcons at Green Hope High School Stadium to decide who would advance to the Elite Eight of post-season playoffs. The Wolverines came out fast and strong, but the Falcons wanted the win just as much, and in the end, after a hard-fought battle, the Lady Falcons prevailed. Full story & Photos

Lady Falcons Stumble Against the Broughton Capitols, 7-10
It was not the best night for the injury-plagued Lady Falcons. Draw control was lost, possession was limited, and the ball was dropped as quickly and as often as the temperature. They did manage to rally back from a 6 point deficit to narrow the gap to 7-10 before the evening was out. Green Hope Falcons Lose to Apex Cougars, But It Felt Like a Win, 11-17
It was Senior Night of the #1 ranked Apex Cougars, and as much as the Lady Falcons tried to play the part of spoiler, the Cougars had scoring bursts that Green Hope just could not overcome. Green Hope Falcons Prevail Over Hard-Fighting Cary Imps, 14-5
They came expecting a tough battle. Things weren't so bad at first, but then the attacks started. Merciless pounding was interrupted at times with reprieves that allowed them to relax a little. Lady Falcons Round Up the Middle Creek Mustangs, 11-6

The bird-of-prey Falcons had a successful day in Huntersville, starting with a close win over a Myers Park team that proved stronger than expected. Throughout most of the game, the Lady Falcons fought hard to play catch-up to the Mustangs. The 2008 Lady Falcons needed only 10 seconds to make their presence felt on the scoreboard on this Leap Day. Nineteen more points later, the Falcons wrapped up the game at 20-10.
